Camp Description

Mona Lisa, The Scream, Di Vinci, and Klimt, these famous artwork and artists always held a certain jenesequa that has yet to fade even to this day. We pay homage to these classic artwork and artists by learning about their influences, artistic characteristics, motifs, and style in order to emulate these masterpieces but with a Clay House Art twist.

Our canvas artwork camps combine 2D and 3D artmaking techniques to recreate these modern art masterpieces in air dry clay. For this week, campers will deleve into Louis Wain's iconic Kaledescope Cats. Campers will learn about his unique abstract style and get to choose their own animals or pets to sketch onto canvas. Then, campers will start to layer air dry clay onto their sketch with techniques invented right here in Clay House Art's studio, with a special focus on bold colors and using texture tools to recreate the visual elements like fur of the original artwork.

By the end of the week, campers will have created their own masterwork recreations combining traditional techniques in sketch on a new air-dry clay medium.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Summer Camp

Tuition and Refund Policy

Camp Fee includes all materials and instruction. Registration fee of $50 is included in the tuition and is non-fundable. Multi-week/sibling discounts are available

Cancellations before 4/1 will be refunded back 90%

Cancellations before 5/1 will be refunded back 75%

Cancellations before 6/1 will be refunded back 50%

No refunds will be given after June

If Federal, State, or Local government imposes a shelter in place order that limits the ability for camps to run, campers will receive a prorated refund less the registration fee for each camp. No credit will be given for missed days including for Covid-19 related illness.

Cancellation Policy
Clay House Art reserves the right to cancel any class for any reason. Students enrolled in a class, which is canceled, will be notified by phone or email. Students enrolled in a canceled class will be offered a class credit or refund for the class.
