Christmas Essentials with Air Dry Clay: Candy Cane

This Holiday Season, as part of Clay House Art's Christmas Classics Series, our team will feature six classic Christmas elements to add to any Christmas themed artwork and show you step by step instructions on how to create your own winter wonderland using air dry clay.

Our first installment in the Christmas Festivities we will be featuring: 

The Classic Candy Cane

Here's what you're going to need

Materials:

2 in 1 Light Clay (White, Red)

Procedure:

1. Take the red and white clay and make two equal lines

2. Put the two pieces of clay parallel to each other and roll them with your palm

3. Roll the two ends to create a new piece

4. Stretch out and adjust to smooth out texture 

5. Decide on how big you want your candy cane and use your clay scissors to cut to the desired length

6. Roll one end of the into a swirl and leave the other end to make your candy cane

7. Roll the entire piece into a swirl and add a small black piece of clay for a handle to make a lollipop

8. Congrats you're FINISHED
